SugarCRM and InsideView Team Up for Social Selling
InsideView and SugarCRM today announced at the annual SugarCon conference in San Francisco that InsideView’s sales intelligence solution will come pre-installed in all additions of SugarCRM, giving all SugarCRM’s customers access to InsideView’s platform at no extra cost.
InsideView’s sales intelligence solution aggregates business information from social platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter, providing background information to sales teams about potential and current customers. Currently, InsideView’s products are distributed by more than 10 partners, used by more than 75,000 sales professionals, and implemented in more than 1,000 companies.
According to Umberto Milletti, founder and CEO of InsideView, there has been a “dramatic shift” in the selling market that requires sales professionals to build social relationships with consumers. He believes social media is the key to gaining pivotal information about clients to deliver “more relevant” sales pitches to customers. He says companies must already have a thorough background before meeting with clients and understand their “important business issues,” something that was not the case several years ago.
“Sales organizations don’t really have a choice,” Milletti explains. “It really changes the way they think about selling. The messages they send out have to be more relevant. There are no excuses for things like generic emails anymore.”
Milletti also says the integration with SugarCRM’s existing software will make InsideView’s technology extremely easy for customer’s to integrate into their existing systems. “This is the first time that sales intelligence and social CRM come bundled out of the box,” he says. “We’re very excited about that because hundreds of thousands of users will have access right away.”
Clint Oram, chief technology officer at SugarCRM, says InsideView will enable sales professionals to obtain “creative and actionable information from the massive amounts of data presented to them at any given time.”
“With this partnership, InsideView brings meaningful business insight for millions of companies worldwide directly into our easy-to-use platform,” Oram said in a statement. “With this integration, any user’s view of his or her leads, accounts, contacts, and opportunities will include real-time, relevant social and business insights and triggers.”
The integrated product will be available by mid-June with the next major SugarCRM release. All users of Sugar CRM’s on-premises edition can upgrade to the new release or download InsideView from SugarExchange. SugarCRM Cloud Edition users will see InsideView immediately when accessing the new release.
