Xactly Releases Incent 8 Solution
Sales incentive management and performance management company Xactly released the latest version of its enterprise compensation management solution, Xactly Incent 8, as well as a native iPad app for the Incent solution at its CompCloud user conference in San Francisco.
Chris Newton, Xactly's vice president of marketing, told CRM that of the approximately $70 million that has been invested in the company, about half has gone into research and development for the Incent product offering. The new release includes a composite of features, like optimized cross-territory selling; single sign-on from multiple applications, such as Salesforce.com or ERP platforms; easier messaging across a sales team or specific subsets; and enhanced user-initiated workflows.
Also dished up at CompCloud was native application Xactly Incent for iPad, which enables sales teams to key in on performance metrics like quota attainment and commission payments while on the go.
"The point of the whole thing is to have the sales guys walk in and use it and see how they're doing on their incentives and how well they're tracking toward their goals, and the easier you make that, the more fun you make it—the more likely they are to log in and use it," Newton explains.
This winter, Xactly released Xactly Express for iPad, a mobile-compatible version of its compensation management software designed for SMBs. Xactly is eyeing the possibility of "bring[ing] together the separate applications so there will be a single application on the iPad that will stream data in from either Incent or Express, regardless of the type of customer you are," according to Newton. Though the company does not anticipate it will merge the core solutions, it is looking for opportunities to align mobile functionalities or some of the analytics capabilities and add-ons from the two, Newton notes.
Also introduced at CompCloud this week was Xactly Express Connect, a service that synchronizes data housed in Express with other on-premise and cloud applications, which the company says cuts down on manual data transmission for more accurate commissions management.
