Transifex Updates Transifex Live Web Translation and Localization Software
Transifex, a provider of localization automation, has updated its Transifex Live software and its companion WordPress plug-in, giving Web site owners and marketers a code-free method for implementing multilingual translation and localization directly within their WordPress Web sites.
With this latest WordPress plug-in, JavaScript implementation is automatic. As marketers update content, Transifex Live detects changes and orders fresh translations automatically.
Transifex Live makes it possible for marketers and Web site owners to launch and manage Web site content translation directly and intuitively within existing Web editing environments, regardless of their content management system.
For site owners using systems other than WordPress, Transifex Live can be implemented by inserting one line of JavaScript code into their page headesr, and automated translation capabilities are then enabled directly within the existing content management interface.
"Marketers typically implement translation using spreadsheets and other manual processes, which consumes valuable time and resources and allows for mistakes and inaccuracies," said Dimitris Glezos, CEO and founder of Transifex, in a statement. "With today's proven and affordable translation software and the widespread use of WordPress to build and manage Web sites around the world, marketers can instead leverage automation by using Transifex Live and offer Web site content in multiple languages, turning what's typically a two-month process into a two-day process."
Using Transifex Live with the WordPress plug-in, marketers will gain an SEO-friendly solution for international language sites, using language-specific URLs and meta-tagging to alert Google to crawl the localized pages.
The translation management experience takes place directly within the Web site, not inside the Transifex platform. Marketers now manage localization using a practical sidebar, allowing the translation of complex pages.
Translations can be seen in-context, directly within the user interface while translating. Translators simply sign in, save, and translate phrases instantly.
"Marketers and Web site owners are fighting to get valuable content to global audiences, and speed is critical," said Amy Hawman, Transifex's vice president of marketing, in a statement. "Waiting for IT to set up localized pages or sending individual content to local staff for translation means you've missed or delayed release timing. We offer Transifex Live to help marketers engage with their global audience with confidence and ease."
