Self Labs Launches Agent Vault

Self Labs is launching Agent Vault, a payment and login layer for artificial intelligence agents to sign in and complete purchases on humans' behalf without seeing or storing their information.

Users can connect Agent Vault with some of the most commonly used solutions, including Muse, OpenClaw, Hermes, Grok Bot, Claude, and Codex, to power complete payment flows that don't put their credentials at risk. Users hold their credentials in one secure, private place, and can use the solution across agents.

Agent Vault keeps users' payment information out of the agent entirely. When an agent checks out, it fills in the form with mock tokens, placeholders that carry no value of their own and only work inside an authorized session. The real card number is only revealed within a trusted execution environment (TEE), which completes the payment, so the store sees an ordinary card transaction. Logins work the same way, with real usernames and passwords swapped in by Self's proxy at the moment of sign-in, out of the agent's view. Users keep the controls throughout, setting spending caps by day, week, month and transaction, limiting the card to named merchants, and revoking it at any time.

"Our initial thesis on identity and agentic infrastructure has proven true; Self verifies over 20 million real humans and the need for proof-of-human is far greater than even last year when we launched," said Rene Reinsberg, CEO and co-founder of Self Labs, in a statement. "The next phase of the internet is agents browsing, purchasing, and interacting on behalf of their owners. As companies race to capture the agentic commerce market, we believe the agentic web should stay open and people should stay in control of their own information. Agent Vault is built to make that possible."
